My impression of government hospitals operated by local government units is not very good but this impression was totally changed when my father was confined at GUBAT DISTRICT HOSPITAL.For the information of everyone, this hospital had the impression of being unclean and unhealthy.The sorrounding was very dirty and smells bad. The doctors and medical staff are not friendly and un professional.To this date, this impression is no longer applicable to the new image of GUBAT DISTRICT HOSPITAL. At present, this hospital is presentable, clean, and having a very responsive medical staff.
How come? ..is this because of the provincial government? A BIG NO…According to hospital officials, this development in GUBAT DISTRICT HOSPITAL is the product of PUBLIC –PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP initiated by Dra. Carino, the hospital chief.Dra. Carino coordinated with GUBATNON organizations abroad and presented her concerns on the health services in GUBAT DISTRICT HOSPITAL.After thorough presentations, dialogue and assessment, GUBATNON moved as one, solicited some equipment, adopted some wards, they initiated the repair, made the floor tiles, made a colorful paint, provided airconditioned rooms and many more. THIS MAKES GUBAT DISTRICT HOSPITAL A GOVERNMENT BUT PRIVATE HOSPITAL.If you are sick, you will be confined at clean wards for free, private rooms with minimal fee, and a surrounding of a private hospital for FREE.
It is really hopeless if you depend on provincial government to improve health services.The initiative of GUBATNON ABROAD is worth emulating... MAY YOUR TRIBE INCREASE….
